Functions

template<typename T >
EGXPhys::HabitableZoneComposition (const T planetMassInkg, const T planetMeanRadiusInm)
 Calculates the Habitable Zone Composition metric, \(HZC\), of a planet. The Habitable Zone Composition(HZC) measures how compatible for life is the bulk composition of an exoplanet within the habitable zone. It estimates both the iron and water content of the planet.

Parameters
planetMassInkg\(m_{p}\ (kg)\) Mass of the planet in kilograms.
planetMeanRadiusInm\(r_{p}\ (m)\) Mean radius of the planet in meters.
Returns
\(HZC\ (dimensionless)\) Habitable Zone Composition metric of a planet. Results between -1 and 1 means that the planet has the potential for a habitable bulk material composition.
